New Guy In Town
So I finally decided to start blogging. Here I am! I suppose for anyone to follow me, I should introduce myself.
In many ways, I am the most stereotypical teenager you can imagine. I own an xbox 360, and every single one of the Call Of Duty games starting with Modern Warfare, the original. I sleep in most weekends and walk around my house, soda in one hand, chips in the other. I hang out with the same group of guys that I did when I was 7. I don’t think there’s a homework assignment I won’t procrastinate on. I could do better in school, but my own ego sometimes brings me down because I’m too stubborn to listen to my teachers. In other words, I’m an underachiever, and a loyal friend to the point of being stubborn. I fight with my mother, confide in my sisters, relax with my father. I “kick it” with the guys I will always call my brothers, and I spend hours tangled up with my girlfriend. I love my country and I hate my government. I’m everything the media will tell you about American teenagers- reckless, irresponsible, and burning to change the way the world sees the United States of America, and my generation.
But then there’s something more. Nights and weekends, I put on a navy blue uniform, strap on a heavy duty belt loaded with equipment, and zip up my steel-toed boots. I’m an Emergency Medical Technician- By night, I rush around the county in an ambulance or rescue truck and help my neighbors. My experiences with this job have made me the best friends I could ask for, given me the greatest experiences I could ask for, and in my opinion, made me the best human being I can be.
So that’s my story, or most of it.
